BPSS Thunderbolt in final

BPSS Thunderbolt booked their place in the final of the MHF-Milo-NSC Junior Hockey League by defeating MBPJ 5-3 in the semi at the Tun Razak Stadium.

It was a good fightback from the sports school team that were a goal down early in the match and almost gave away a two goal lead midway in the match.

MBPJ took the lead in the 13th minute through Muhamad Hafiz Nawi.

But BPSS hit back to equalise through Mohd Noor Faeez Ibrahim six minutes later who converted a penalty corner.

Faeez gave his team the lead on the stroke of halftime via another penalty corner.

Mohd Firhan Ashari then made it 3-1 in the 48th minute and BPSS thought they had the match all sewn up.

But MBPJ had other ideas as Mohd Rifan Mohd Azhar scored twice in as many minutes , in the 50th and 52nd minutes to make in 3-3.

Faeez gave BPSS the lead once again in the 61st minute before Mohd Fitri Saari made sure of BPSS place in the final scoring the fifth in the 67th minute.

The match was marred by the sending off of MBPJ goalkeeper Ahmad Syahir Mohd Noor two minutes from time for shoving umpire Rosdi Pilus.
